Full color LEDs,Operated by High Capacity Controllers

Installing high-class and luxurious signs on the exterior of apartment building walls has rapidly increased recently. Unlike painting apartment names on it, the trend seems move with the signs that are illuminated at nighttimes as well as daytimes. LEDs application on apartment signs is particularly increasing fast than anything else.

On the Apartment
Dogok Rexle is an enormous apartment complex that consists of 3,002 apartment homes. At the first stage, gigantic illuminated LED channel signs were installed on the three places of them for trial. The upper part of the sign includes the huge logo 멢X?and the lower part includes the name of the apartment written in English. One of the unique facts is that the upper part of the logo changes its color since RGB full color LED modules were applied. For this purpose, LED modules with 9 LED lamps were mounted in the interior part of the channel letters whereas white LED modules were placed in the English channel letters of the lower part.

Low Energy Consumption
The power suppliers that transform the electrical currents for homes to the currents that use LED modules were used. Like a transformer is needed in neon pipes, power suppliers are essential for this matter. Generally speaking, transformers raise voltage from 220V to 15,000V, but power suppliers transform 220V to only 12-24V for the LED modules to light up. Just like the distance of the neon tube is to the standard, there is a given amount of number or LED modules that can be connected to a power supplier.
The full color LED modules, installed in the upper part of the Dogok Rexle apartment sign, are connected to a power supplier with 24V and 600W of capacity, and the white LED modules, installed in the lower part of the sign, are connected to two power suppliers with 12V and 350W of capacity each. Despite of the gigantic size of the apartment sign, the energy consumption is only 5A.

Controllers for LED Lamps Is Necessarily Required
In order for producing colorful illumination effects that is one of the strengths of a full color LED, the controller for LED lamps is always needed. A LED controller is a device that controls dimming and color change just like low voltage neon switches. There are a variety of types of controller that even allow color transformation while others only turn on and off, so when choosing the type of a controller, it is important to completely understand the purpose of the signs that you are trying to achieve.
The controllers that are installed in the channel signs of Dogok Rexle apartments are ready-made products with about 10 different options that allow controlling the duration of illumination and the time interval between the durations. Once wiring the power suppliers and timers after connecting the LED module controllers, the wiring task is complete. It is particularly unique since this project used stainless steel for not only the sign itself but also other parts. All the wires are connected from distributive box to the sign, being put into the stainless pipes. This is for preventing the apartment building facade from getting rust stains.
The technique for producing apartment signs using LEDs has been improving and this progress will surely keep going on. It is just a problem of how to persuade firms and shop owners who are mainly the customers to use channel letters with LED lighting, and this is what the sign makers should assume. It is vain, if you are not persuasive enough to propose and recommend products to the customers although you have outstanding products.
