The slogan of the DPGshow 2005 (Digital Printing & Graphic Design Show)
is "Experience the diverse digital printing world!" DPGshow 2005, the first
trade show on digital printing technology in East Asia, will come up with a
variety of digital printing-related markets. Digital printing technology has a
great potential with its applications on extensive market areas, including in
the digital graphics and outdoor advertising industries. DPGshow 2005 plans to
contribute to the digital printing industry with three special events. DPGshow
2005, in an effort to draw a niche market in diverse application areas, will be
held on the 23rd ~ 26th of June 2005 at the Atlantic Hall of COEX in Seoul.
Expanding the Digital Printing
Business Based on the goal of the 2004 edition, DPGshow 2005 is
designed to convey a variety of digital printing services to the audience. In
other words, it will announce that digital printing technology has a higher
potential than in other industries, showing limitless application areas in
digital printing technology, including outdoor advertisements, interiors,
events, textile printing, digital photography, digital printing, etc. Digital
printing is roughly divided into two categories: small-format printing and
large-format printing. Small-format printing includes all kinds of printing
systems done on a desk in an office. In terms of large-format printing for
business purposes, it is usually done with large-format inkjet color printers
(up to 60" wide), including plotter-type printers. Digital printing is fast
becoming a critical technology in specialty printing applications, creating
substantial growth in new and existing markets. Regardless of printing width,
the printing process involved in small-format digital printing is equal to one
of large-format digital printing. Two technologies have been applied and
developed in different areas. Consequently, large-format digital printing is
under digital printing in the sign industry. Therefore, large-format digital
printing must be under the whole digital printing technology.
Three Special Events in DPGshow
2005 DPGshow 2005 will demonstrate a niche market under the
extensive markets of digital printing for both visitors and exhibitors. To
achieve this year's goal, three areas of digital printing, which have recently
increased their market share in the digital printing market, have been selected,
and three special events, relating to digital textile printing, digital
photography, and graphic design, will be featured. With regards to DTP (Digital
Textile Printing) technology, the DTP Solution Incubator is designed to help
those who are interested in the DTP business experience a variety of digital
textile printing technology, as well as promote DTP applications. The DTP
Solution Incubator consists of the DTP Incubator (24 m2), the DTP Company
Pavilion (60 m2), and the DTP Artwork Showroom (24 m2). The DTP Incubator will
increase the understanding of the DTP business, and show the details and
examples of DTP. It is especially devoted to training and cultivating
professionals in digital textile printing. The DTP Company Pavilion will be a
venue where DTP-related companies can display their equipment and products.
Those who are highly interested in the DTP business can draw their business
plans after visiting the pavilion. The DTP Artwork Showroom features the
application of DTP technology on objects that are used daily, such as mugs,
cups, picture frames, wall papers, key holders, and so on.
More Exhibitors and Attendees DPGshow
2005 is set to expand further in 2005 with three special events and modified
sectors. In the 2004 exhibition, show sectors included digital input, digital
output, graphic design, ink & media, and finishing. Graphic design, however,
is considered the most critical area in digital printing. It will be under the
category of digital input. Digital textile printing will be separated from other
sectors to enhance the promotion and marketing activities of DTP companies. The
digital textile printing industry has a great potential in the future. The
Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Energy released a development strategy about
the digital printing industry in March 2004. Accordingly, DPGshow 2005 will try
to adapt to the changing times. Integrating a finishing process and a final
application into one sector, DPGshow 2005 will come up with a unifying idea
regarding all the processes involved after printing. The show includes a light
panel, a banner display, P.O.P., wrapping advertising, a display system, and
laminating and coating-related products. Compared to the 2004 show, the China
pavilion is entirely different. Last year, DPGshow has made an exclusive
contract with sales agents in China. DPGshow has commenced global marketing and
promotion ahead of home marketing. DPGshow has widely promoted itself around the
world by attending several trade shows, including Viscom, SGIA, ISA
International Sign Expo, Dubai Sign & Graphic Imaging, China International
Sign & Advertising Expo, and Shanghai Int'l Advertising Technology &
Equipment Exhibition. In addition, DPGshow has established a network of 15
professional sign magazines from nine countries, and has reported up-to-date
news to major world markets. |
